Arlene Ruth Adams (née Timm)
July 9, 1936 – April 30, 2025
Arlene Ruth Adams (née Timm) was called to her eternal home on April 30, 2025 at the age of 88. She was the beloved wife of the late Ken W. Adams, who preceded her in death after 50 years of marriage.
A devoted and loving mother, Arlene is survived by her three sons: Todd (Carol) Adams, Timm (Sally) Adams, and Brad (Karen) Adams. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Jessica (Frank) Bonnelly, John (Michelle Martin) Adams, Michael Adams, Katie (Will Hansinger), Tyler Adams, Matthew (Stephanie Wick) Adams, Kelly (Matt Deschner) Adams, Lisa (Joseph) Odom, Kyle Adams, Blake Adams, and Claire Adams. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Cristina, Joseph, Alexander, Martin, Charlie, Rudi, Jacob, James, and Henry-each of whom brought her great joy.
Born on July 9, 1936, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Arlene was the only child of Frank and Marie Timm, who had immigrated to Milwaukee. She graduated from Lutheran High School. Arlene was married in 1957 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in West Allis, beginning a life with Kenneth W Adams of faith, family, and service. Arlene's heart was rooted in her faith and in her love for her Lord Jesus Christ. She was an active member of several Lutheran congregations over her lifetime, including St. Paul's Lutheran, Elm Grove Lutheran, and most recently Divine Redeemer Lutheran. Her kindness and compassion touched many lives through her hospitality, friendship, and caring for others.
Arlene had a passion for cooking and baking, and she found joy in hosting and caring for the needs of those around her-whether family, friends, or church community. Her home was always open, warm, and filled with love.
She and Ken shared their life together in West Allis, raised three boys in Elm Grove, and later years in Hartland and Pewaukee.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Divine Redeemer Lutheran Church, 31385 West Hill Road (Hwy 83), Hartland, Wisconsin. Arlene will be laid to rest privately at Highland Memorial Park, beside her beloved husband and parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Arlene's name may be made to the Lutheran High School Association of Greater Milwaukee: https://www.weteachtruth.org/
