Arlene D. Duncanson, age 100, of Wausau, Wisconsin passed away on February 3, 2025, at Arborview Court, Wisconsin Rapids.
Arlene was born on May 2, 1924 to Ross C. and Eva (Stimson) Danley in Winnebago, MN. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota. During her working career, she was Media Director for Kinzie & Green Advertising.
Arlene married Fred Duncanson on December 16, 1948, in Wausau, WI. They enjoyed 59 years of marriage until his passing.
Arlene was an excellent golfer, having won the Rib Mountain Golf Course women's league multiple times. She also enjoyed cross-country skiing, bridge and card clubs, Friday fish fries, and in retirement being a "snowbird" in Green Valley, AZ.
She is survived by her daughter: Mary (Len) Ironside; sons: William (Jill) Duncanson and Joel (Nina) Duncanson; grandchildren: Elizabeth (Gregg) Gehrke, Lee (Christina) Ironside, Matthew (Leslie) Ironside, Jorah (Tim) Lucca, Jessie Duncanson (Jason Wells), Lenni (Matt) Ferren, Holly (Ian) Welsh, Andrew (Katherine Burgman) Duncanson, and Emily Duncanson (Brent Eliason); great-grandchildren: Duncan and Josey Lucca; Jonah Wells; Grant, Lee and Illa Gehrke; Zelda and Ingram Ironside; Mason, Franklen, Madison and Lilly Ironside; Harrison and Charlotte Welsh.
A family Celebration of Life to honor Arlene will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Renaissance Assisted Living, Arborview Court and Heartland Hospice of Wisconsin Rapids.
