A Mass of Christian Burial for Arthur "Art" F. Foltz, 91, of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 11:00 A.M., Monday, September 8, 2025, with Fr. Mike Gentry as celebrant. Calling will be held at the church from 10-11 A.M., prior to the service. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery will follow with military honors provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Art, a United States Marine Corps Veteran, died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio on Monday, September 1, 2025. He was born in Portland, Indiana on January 14, 1934, to the late Irven Wesley and Marie (Schigulinsky) Foltz.

A graduate of John Carroll University, Art worked in sales for many years, beginning his career with Harcrest Athletic Equipment and retiring from Owens Corning in 1991.

Art was an active parishioner of St. Francis de Sales, serving on the bereavement committee, and was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Fr. Bill Johnson Council.

He is survived by his children, Matthew Shane Foltz, Michael Roy Foltz, and Malinda Marie Foltz; grandchildren, Andrew, Sarah, and Hunter Foltz (Cpl. USMC); and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Art was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Joan Friedel-Foltz; son, Arthur Wesley Foltz; and sisters, Iris Dove Schopak and Lois Jean Tuttle.
