Born on January 17, 1945, in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, to Richard and Elvena (Coffey) Harrison, Kerry lived a life rich in adventure, service, and love.
Kerry moved with his parents to Biddeford, Maine, in 1961 and graduated from Biddeford High School in 1963. He went on to attend Columbia University for two years before returning to Canada, where he proudly served in the Royal Canadian Air Force. After a distinguished career, he retired in 1988 and returned to Maine, where he married Florence-the love of his life.
Kerry and Florence shared a deep passion for travel, exploring the U.S. and Canada on his cherished Goldwing motorcycle. Their adventures also took them overseas to England and Greece to connect with their heritage, and to the Caribbean, a favorite winter destination.
Kerry is survived by his son, Sean Harrison of Amherst, Nova Scotia; his stepsons, Alan (Shery) Joy of Kennebunkport and Clarke Joy of Lyman; three granddaughters in Amherst, N.S.; and several cousins.
Kerry will be remembered for his warmth, curiosity, and the joy he found in the open road and in the company of loved ones.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Hospice of Southern Maine in his honor.
