Leroy Holland was born August 12, 1944, and passed away on June 17, 2024, just short of his 80th birthday. Leroy was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. He retired from the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board and was working part-time with BREC at Webb Park. He was an avid LSU fan and did not miss seeing many games. He spent his last years at Williamsburg Senior Living Community on Government Street living the good life that was afforded to their tenants. He loved playing cornhole and bingo, going to church and attending socials.

He is survived by his siblings Janet Holland DeLage and Donald Ray Holland and wife, Gail Boyd Holland. Nieces and nephews Lola Holland King (Roy), James “Bo” Holland (Jayne), Walter Holland (Stephanie), Helen Holland Zimmerman (Doug), Kathryn Holland Simpson (Ted), George Holland (Holly), Emily Holland Stephens (Derek), Melvin Holland (Becky), Brian Holland (Camille), Donald Holland (Lisa), Nancy Holland Jackson (Anton), Paula Holland Breaux (David), Terri Holland Buquoi (Anthony), John DeLage (Melissa), Angie DeLage Mitchell (Chris), great nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur L. Holland, Sr. and Minnie Helen Wesley Wolf, brother James Horace Holland and his wife, Lodusta “Dusty” Specht Holland, his brother-in-law, John M. DeLage, Jr., his sister-in-law, Gaynell Hebert Holland, his niece Donna Holland Silvio, his niece, Janice Holland Hansen, and his niece’s husband Danny Jordan.

Services will be held at Mangum Chapel Methodist Church located at 31366 Cane Market Road, Walker, LA 70785 on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.

Leroy was a man of few words and always wanted to please and willing to help in any way he could.

He will be missed!
