Arthur James (Jim) Norton, 86, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday August 21,2025 due to complications of the Covid-19 vaccine. Born in Williamsport, PA. Arthur spent time living in Montgomery County, PA and Philadelphia, PA before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 1996. Arthur proudly served our country in both the US Navy and US Coast Guard. He had many careers, which included; Electrician, carpet installer, realtor, philadelphia Fire Fighter and was an entrepreneur with many business that brought him joy. Arthur spent time as a volunteer firefighter in Lower Bank NJ. He also served as a member of the auxiliary Police, in Cheltenham, PA and a Scout Master in the Boy Scouts of America. His hobbies that brought him joy in life were fishing, hunting and gardening. And he was a long time member of the LBI fishing club.
He is survived by his ex-wife Connie Norton, his loving partner Alexis D'avanzo, and sons Lawrence (Donna) and Robert (Eileen) Norton and Norton of Pennsylvania. His Daughter Angela Norton (Keith Kiernan) of LIttle Egg Harbor, NJ. His Step Children John, Ted, Mike, Frank, Richard, and Louisa (Stewart). Also surviving are his sister Sandra Steele of NY and many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Arthur was predeceased by his parents Herbert and Gertrude Norton, son John Norton and brothers John, Bob and Sonny Norton.
Cremation will be private.
