Arturo Pena, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 73 in San Antonio, Texas. Born on December 11, 1951, in Big Spring, Texas, Arturo's life was a tapestry of joy, love, and cherished moments that he shared with all who had the privilege to know him.
Arturo's passion for life was evident in everything he did. He found immense joy in simple pleasures-whether it was casting a line while fishing, sharing laughter over a game of pool, or cheering for his beloved Dallas Cowboys on game day. He was known for his vivacious spirit, never hesitating to hit the dance floor and have a good time, lighting up every gathering with his infectious energy.
He leaves behind a loving family, who will forever hold onto the memories and lessons he imparted. Arturo is survived by His wife Petra I. Peña; daughters, Maria Peña and Genevieve Peña, will remember him not only as a father but as a guiding light in their lives, who always encouraged them to pursue their dreams. Arturo took immense pride in his grandchildren-Erika, Ellie, Erin, Savannah, Jesse, and Ysrael-whom he adored and cherished deeply. His legacy continues with Elianna, his great-grandchild, who brought him endless delight.
Arturo is also survived by his brother Jesse Peña and his sisters Sylvia Guaderrama, alongside beloved nieces and nephews-Gilbert, Jesse, Monica, and Debra-who will always treasure their memories of him. Each of them carries a piece of his spirit within their hearts.
Though the familial bonds are strong, the loss of Arturo is also felt far beyond his immediate family. He is rejoiced in memories alongside those who have passed before him, including his parents, Jesus and Angelita Peña, and his grandchild, Jonathan Peña. They now welcome him with open arms.
Arturo's visitation will take place on February 20, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels-South, located at 3520 South Flores Street, San Antonio, TX 78204. As we gather to honor and celebrate a life well-lived, we will remember Arturo not just for the absence he leaves but for the love, laughter, and vibrant spirit that enriched our lives.
Arturo Peña will be forever remembered for his warmth, his passion for life, and the unending love he shared with those around him. May his spirit shine brightly in our hearts, and may we carry forward his legacy of joy and connection.
