It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Asa Anthony Sweigart, age 28. Asa was born on May 29th, 1996 in Yuba City, Ca and passed away on August 3rd, 2024 in Fort Bragg, Ca.
Asa was a talented singer and actor, and had starred in the musical "All Shook Up" during his high school years, where he held the lead role. Asa also enjoyed cooking, playing video games with his siblings, and traveling and camping with his family. Asa had recently been promoted to Banking Center Manager at the Fort Bragg branch of Wells Fargo, and was excelling in his new career.
Asa was an avid Star Wars fan, loved trading pins at Disneyland, and loved watching Marvel movies.
Asa is survived by his father Paul Sweigart, step-mother Tara Sweigart, mother Erica Rockwell, siblings Ella and Logan Sweigart, and grandmothers Therese Sweigart, Karen Lombardi, and Nancy Avila. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Paul E. Sweigart, great-grandfathers Eugene Sweigart and Reese Worden, great-grandmother Ruth Sweigart, and his canine buddy Cody.
Services for Asa will be held on August 17th, 2024 at 2pm at the Chapel by the Sea, located at 445 E. Fir Street in Fort Bragg, Ca, followed by a graveside service at Ocean View Cemetery, located at 211 Pudding Creek Road in Fort Bragg, Ca.
Asa Sweigart was loved by all who knew him. He was known for his kindness, selflessness, humor and dedication to his family and friends. He will be forever in our minds, and in our hearts, and we take comfort in knowing that he is watching over us from above.
