Austin Goddard Obituary Austin Derek Goddard, aged 27, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, April 27th, 2025.
Austin was born to Kelly and Derek Goddard on April 16th, 1998. He was a loving son and a loyal brother who expressed his love daily, always doing more than was expected. From an early age, he was drawn to the outdoors, where he felt most alive and at peace. He found immense joy in hunting, fishing, riding his four-wheeler, and working with his hands, whether fixing something broken or building something new. As a young man, Austin earned the distinguished title of Eagle Scout, reflecting his integrity, responsibility, and perseverance. But what truly made Austin unforgettable wasnt just his accomplishments; it was his heart. He had a quiet, steady presence and a soul marked by deep kindness. Austin was patient, thoughtful, and fiercely loyal. He had a strength that made others feel safe, a lighthearted charm that could bring laughter on even the hardest days, and a beautiful smile that lit up every room he walked into.
Austin took pride in his work in the trades, particularly roofing, and was known for his ability to figure out just about anything. If something needed to be fixed, Austin could and would do it. His determination and skill made him an invaluable worker and a trusted friend to many. Austin was a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart, Peyton Goddard, whom he married on September 12th, 2021. Together, they built a home rooted in love, laughter, and a shared commitment to raising their two boys, McCoy (3) and Larkin (7 months). He was an incredible father. He was hands-on, attentive, and endlessly loving, whether reading books, wrestling on the living room floor, or rocking a sleeping baby. Austin gave his whole heart to his family and loyal hunting dog Copper, who was rarely far from his side. He cherished the little things and had a way of turning ordinary moments into something special. To McCoy and Larkin, he wasnt just adad, he was their greatest adventure.
Austin carried himself with humility, kindness, and a steady sense of responsibility that made others feel safe and cared for. He expressed his love through the everyday things, always doing more than what was expected. He didnt need the recognition to give himself fully. His presence spoke volumes, and his loyalty to those he loved was unwavering.Austin had a way of making people feel seen and loved. He listened without judgment and showed up when it mattered most, never hesitating to lend a hand. His laugh was contagious. His sense of humor was one of a kind. His ability to fix anything was a gift that touched many. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and strength. His presence in our lives was a gift that can never be replaced. His impact on his family and friends will live on in every story shared, every lesson passed, and every moment we carry with him in our hearts.
Austin is survived by his wife Peyton, his sons McCoy and Larkin, his parents Kelly and Derek Goddard, his sisters Livvy and Bella Goddard, his loyal hunting dog Cooper, his father and mother-in-law Scott and Nicole Mullins, his sisters-in-law Morgan and Kayley Mullins, his grandparents, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
