Avery Lester, a talented self-employed musician, peacefully passed away on November 12, 2024, in Danielsville, GA. He was born on June 26, 1929, in Duluth, GA, bringing warmth and joy through his music for many years.
Throughout his life, Avery served in the Army during the Korean War, exemplifying dedication and commitment. His love for music defined his career and influenced those around him. William's vibrant spirit and passion for creativity will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Avery is survived by his beloved spouse, Vera Thompson Lester, and his cherished daughter, Deborah Lester. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Georgia Brand Lester, and his siblings, Bonnie Lester, Lorine Lester Roberts, and Theron Lester.
A visitation to honor Avery's memory will be held on November 23, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM, all taking place at Ivie Funeral Home located at 1053 S. Elm Street, Commerce, GA 30529. Interment will follow in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
Avery Lester leaves behind a legacy of music, family, and service, and will be dearly missed by those who loved him.
