Littleton, North Carolina
Mr. Bailey Daniels, Jr., 66, of Garysburg, North Carolina by way of Staten Island, New York was born October 12, 1958. Bailey was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who peacefully departed his life on August 17, 2025. Bailey leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a whole lot of stories that are bound to be retold at every family gathering.
Bailey was preceded in death by his parents, Bailey ZebebeeDaniels (father) and Lottie B. Taylor (mother); his stepfather, Grady Williams Sr.; and his sister, Barbara Jean.
Bailey was a man of many talents and even more tools. He could fix just about anything-especially cars, even if it meant "just a temporary fix" that somehow lasted 10 years. A self-taught handyman, he was happiest with a wrench in one hand and a home project in the other. If something was broken, Bailey wasn't calling for help-he was the help.
When he wasn't under the hood or knee-deep in a DIY project, you could find him outside tending to his garden or holding court on his front porch-his favorite spot for telling stories, sipping something cold, and watching the world go by. Bailey loved to cook, and if you were lucky enough to sit at his table, you knew two things: the food would be good, and the laughter would be better. He had a gift for making those around him laugh-whether it was with a clever joke or some well-timed sarcasm. His sense of humor and big-hearted nature made every room brighter.
Bailey shared a deep and loving bond with his significant other of 10 years, Delores Taylor of Littleton, NC. She stood faithfully by his side-not just through the good days, but through the darkest nights and the hardest hours. Her love, strength, and unwavering presence were a comfort to Bailey until his very last breath. In his final moments, she was there-holding his hand, easing his pain, and reminding him he was never alone.
Bailey had children and many cherished years with his ex-wife, Denise Daniels, who remains a respected part of his story and family.
Bailey was a proud father to Gary Williams (Freda) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Bailey Daniels III (Verdawn) of Raleigh, NC, Idina Daniels-Brooks (Malatka) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Sherre Adams of Staten Island, NY, Geneva Adams-Ahmed (Amin) of Staten Island, NY.
He is survived by his loving siblings Diane Hunter (Dwight) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Rosa Purnell of Greensboro, NC, Shirley Cunningham of Staten Island, NY, Odessa Harding of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Carolyn Nollez (Vinnie) of Staten Island, NY. He was a proud grandfather to Bailey Daniels, Amir Daniels, Alayah Daniels, Maki Williams, Yanara Brooks, Sia Brooks, Malatka Brooks Jr., Quay Adams, Shaniya Mills, Shayla Mills, Tyreek Ahmed, and Tahj Ahmed. Bailey had a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Bailey will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. His hands built things, his heart built people, and his spirit will forever live on in the laughter, memories, and love he gave so freely.
