Barbara Elaine Appold

Barbara Elaine (Nice) Appold, of East Greenville, went home to be with the Lord on November 1st. She was the wife of Michael, with whom she celebrated 56 years of marriage this past May. Barbara was born in Sellersville on December 1, 1937 to the late Roland and Beatrice (Diehl) Nice.
She graduated from Quakertown High School in 1957. After graduation, Barbara worked various jobs over the course of a decade. In 1966, she married Michael, and they spent more than 30 years working together on their family dairy farm until retiring in 1999.
Barbara was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church, Niantic. There, she shared her gift of a beautiful voice as a member of the choir for 50 years. She was also a founding member of the Choral Arts Society of the Upper Perkiomen Valley, in which she participated for nearly 25 years. In addition to music, Barbara enjoyed tending her flowers, reading, and caring for her animals.
Barbara's family was the greatest joy of her life. In addition to Michael, she is survived by daughter Holly Francisco and her husband John, as well as grandchildren Emily and Hunter. She was predeceased by her brother Richard Nice.
All are invited to visit with Barbara's family on Monday November 7th, 2022 from 10 AM until 11 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Barto, PA 19504. Services will follow in the sanctuary at 11 AM, with burial taking place immediately after.
