Barbara Bennett Obituary

Born on June 14, 1933, to the late Oliver and Wilma Mekeel in their family farmhouse in Succasunna, NJ. She was born and raised in Succasunna, graduation Roxbury High School class of 1951. She married her high school sweetheart Morgan, right after graduation and spent the next 44 years together until Morgan passed in 1995.
Barbara was a high school bus driver for Roxbury Twp for 25 years. Upon her retirement she moved to Florida and spent the late spring into fall in New Jersey.
She is survived by her son David Bennett (Margaret), her daughters Bonnie Haggerty (Steve), and Brenda Zeglen (Chris), Barbara was blessed with 7 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Morgan, a son Michael, her brothers Oliver and Richard Mekeel.
Barbara will be buried next to her husband Morgan at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ.
Services are entrusted to Newbaker Funeral Home, Blairstown, NJ.
