Born in Bridgeton, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Amanda (Dillon) Hoover. Barbara worked as an office worker with a printing ink company. Her and her husband Michael both enjoyed showing their Scottish Terrier dogs. She was a member of the Scottish Terrier Club of America, Scottish Terrier Club of Greater New York and the Garden State All Terrier Club.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother Harvey Hoover.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
