KINGSPORT-Barbara Ann Collins Byers, 79, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 01, 2025, at her home following an extended period of declining health. Born in Kingsport, Barbara had lived here her entire life. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her son, Pete Vermillion, and daughter, Brenda Vermillion. Barbara is survived by her husband, Harold J. Byers; children, Terry W. Vermillion and Patricia Collins; grandchildren, Latasha Robinson and fiancé Terry Hilton, Curtis Grissom, Alicia and Jason Hale, Brittany, Summer, Houston, and Austin Vermillion; great-grandson, Hunter Reynolds; several other great-great grandchildren; brothers, Suel William Collins and wife Monnie, and Bobby Miller; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; special caregiver, Amy Carrico; special family members, Delona and Joe Stair, Jackie and Ken Rolo, Larry Frazier and Tonya Smith. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, April 04, 2025, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 05, 2025, at Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
