Barbara J Gazzigli, a resident of Peekskill for over 50 years, died on Monday, February 27, 2023 at the age of 85.
She was born in Port Chester, NY on September 14, 1937, to the late Joseph E and Vilma (Skorvanek) Rozmus.
A graduate of Port Chester High School, she married Otto Gazzigli on July 7, 1958, and together they raised four boys.
She worked in the Peekskill School District and for The Town of Cortlandt until her retirement in 2011.
She was predeceased by her husband Otto, her two sons, Scott and Jeffrey Gazzigli, and her siblings.
She is survived by her two sons Daniel (Stephanie) Gazzigli of Shrub Oak and Christopher Gazzigli of Peekskill, and her Son in law Douglas McNally of Florida.
She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Laura and Christopher Gazzigli, her great-granddaughter, Alani Gazzigli, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Barbara's family was her world and would do anything for them. She was loved by many family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY.
Chapel service will be held during visitation at 6:30 pm.
Interment will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 11:00 am at Assumption Cemetery, 1055 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY.
Please arrive at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home at 10:30 am if you would like to join the funeral procession.
