Barbara started her marketing/advertising career at Wellesley Advertising Associates. She then spent 18 years as a Vice President of Account Service at Arnold & Co. working on her favorite account, Fayva Shoes. From there she became the Sr. Director of Marketing for WRKO Radio where she developed "The Taste of Boston". She received the nationwide award for the Best Sales Video for large market radio in the country and the Employee of the Year award. She also was Marketing & Promotion Director for Horizons for Youth and ran events such as Boston's Chowdafest and the Taste of the South Shore. She then spent the remainder of her advertising career at Pro Media as a Vice President of Account Service and then the Print Department. Once retired, she began working on Cape Cod for her physician, Dr. Sehic and worked as his receptionist for many years.
In her retirement, she joined the Friday Seniors Bowling League, her Rummy card group and several bridge groups. She was so fortunate to have met wonderful people that she loved spending time with. She loved her games. Bowling became a huge part of her life as she was the #1 Ladies Bowler in almost all categories. The best thing that came out of bowling was meeting Ben. She was so happy to spend time with him! She loved traveling especially her river cruise with Ben and Lisa and her many adventures with Harry and Paul.
Most of all, Barbara loved spending time with her family. She loved watching her children and grandchildren participate in all their activities. She also was an avid sports fan and always could be seen rooting for her Patriots. And of course, everyone is going to miss Barbara's famous and delicious chocolate chip cookies. They were the best. She took great pride teaching Cassie the recipe.
Our family would like to thank the VNA of Cape Cod Hospice nurses and aides for their compassion and kindness during this difficult time. A special thank you to Fiona who was an angel to her. In lieu of flowers, Barbara requested donations to be made to Cape Abilities in Dennis, MA or the local Animal Rescue Shelter in Brewster, MA in her name.
