Barbara Myers Obituary
Barbara Trexler Myers, 60, of Salisbury, died Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at her home in Cleveland. Born April 7, 1963, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late John Burns (J.B.) Trexler and Doris Trexler. A 1981 graduate of Salisbury High School, she began her career as a Respiratory Therapist at Iredell Memorial Hospital and later became an Assistant Teacher to special needs children at Isenberg Elementary.
Barbara's family meant the world to her, and she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was especially proud of her children and grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to brag about them. She was thrilled to be blessed with grandchildren and loved to take care of them at every opportunity.
Aside from her family, she adored her three little dogs, Dixie, Daisy, and Sweet Pea. Those who knew Barbara know she enjoyed the simple pleasures in life Old westerns, any sweet dessert, a cold RC Cola, and lazy afternoons with friends and family.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her sister, Carolyn Morgan.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of almost 38 years, Dwane; children Nicholas Myers (Victoria) of Greenville, SC; Ashley Davis (Blake) of Monroe, NC; and Matthew Myers (Courtney) of Broadway, NC; and grandchildren Hudson Gantt and Hayes Davis (Ashley), Madelyn and Annabelle Myers (Nicholas).
Service: We invite friends and family to attend a casual memorial service in celebration of Barbara's life at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 2nd at the home of Martha Myers located at 2855 Enon Church Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147.
