Barbara J. Rogers

Barbara J. Rogers, 86, of Corry, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Corry Memorial Hospital.
She was born on October 17, 1939, a daughter of the late James and Phoebe (Hudson) Winans.
Barbara was raised in Pennsylvania and Ohio. She was a daughter, sister, friend, mom, wife, Grandma and G.G. Barb had a love for horses, played softball, bowled for decades and loved watching various sports. Especially when her children and grandchildren were involved, loved mowing her yard and going to the casinos- playing on her favorite machine and getting lucky every now and then.
Barb worked hard on the family farm. She was a tax collector and secretary at Dowell and Corry Counseling Center and drove bus for the Corry School District for 54 years. She retired at the age of 82, after driving her youngest grandson. She enjoyed driving all of the sports teams and drove generations of families. In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her brother, Mark Winans; great-granddaughter, Clara Rose McEldowney and her favorite cat, Tough Man and dog, Susie.
Barb will be deeply missed by her husband Larry Rogers, whom she married on June 29, 1997; beloved cat, DaisyMae; five children, Becky Peterson, Sherrie (Steve) Crowe; Lonnie Peterson, Joy (Tim) Linkerhof and Ryan Peterson; brothers, Steven Winans, Brad (Cassie) Winans, David Winans, Phil Winans and Clark Winans; sisters, Nancy (Gary) Rees, Ruthie (Ken) Petty and Gloria (Max) Johnson; and stepchildren, Larry Joe (Wendy) Rogers, Louise (Joe) Benward, John (Jolynn) Rogers and their families.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lisa, Amy, Nick (Amanda), Kira (Trevar), Colin (Hannah), Trenton (Alexcia), Riley, Lucas, Sydney (Jake), Hayden and Taige; great-grandchildren, Madison, Mara, Sena, Leah, Elliot, Adrian, Rory and Knoxton and several nieces and nephews. Barb will be remembered by many, watching Corry sports and loudly cheering them on and for always voicing her opinion and telling it like it was no matter who you were.
Family and friends are invited to call at Bracken Funeral Home, Inc., 315 N. Center St, Corry, PA 16407 on Thursday, December 18th from 6 pm to 8 pm and on Friday, December 19th from 11 am until the time of the service there to celebrate Barb and her wonderful life at 1 pm. Pastor Les Utegg will officiate.
