Barbara Smith Brown Obituary
Mrs. Smith was born March 18, 1949 in Fannin County, Georgia, daughter of the late Everette Smith and Alma Elrod Smith. She had lived many years in Cherokee County where she took care of her mother and aunt. She retired from Pilgrims Poultry where she was an Inspector. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Brown and by a brother, Buford Smith.
Survivors include her children, Kenny Brown (Audrey) and Jerry Brown (Julie Robbins); grandchild, Brooklyn; brothers, Raymond Smith (Helen), Rex Smith (Bonnie), Max Smith (Cheryle); friend and caretaker, Fred Everist; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Keith Harper and Rev. J.R. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 20th from 11:00 am until the funeral hour.
