Barbara L. "Bunny" Sugarman

Barbara "Bunny" Sugarman passed away peacefully just after midnight on Feb. 1, 2026.

Born in Brooklyn on April 11, 1942, Bunny grew up in Newton, Massachusetts with her parents, Bill and Florence and her brother Bob. She married and raised 2 children in Freehold, New Jersey and had a long successful career as a Realtor with both the Century 21 and Weichert Realtors. Later, she worked as a Marketing Director of Assisted Living Communities in California and Illinois before returning to NJ.

She loved fashion and traveling and was an expert at needlepoint and a top notch knitter. She was quick to laugh and brought much joy to the staff and residents at The Village of Meadowbrook in Matawan, where she resided at the time of her death.

Bunny was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sibling, Cousin and Aunt.

She is survived by her children, Merri Sugarman and Barry Sugarman, daughter-in-law Kate Sugarman and grandchildren Sami, David, Courtney and Adam.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, February 6th, 2026, at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Rd., Manasquan, New Jersey 08736, from 11am to 1pm, with a service in her honor to begin at 11:45am.
