Barbara Wicklund Obituary
Barbara Jean Wicklund (née Cranston) of Lakeville, Minnesota, left us unexpectedly on August 18, 2024, at the age of 61, due to a tragic accident. Born on December 26, 1962, to Levine (Bud) and Virginia Cranston (née Shirley), Barbara grew up with her sisters, Leslee and Margaret, in a family filled with love and laughter.
Barb married the love of her life, Brad Wicklund, on June 22, 1985. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two wonderful children, Amanda (born April 3, 1986) and Tyler (born March 23, 1989). A devoted mother, wife, sister, and friend, Barb was the heart of her family, always bringing joy and comfort to those around her.
For the past 20 years, Barb worked in IT at Frandsen Financial Corporation, where she was known for her dedication, professionalism, and warm spirit. Outside of work, she cherished her time spent at the family cabin on Lake Nebagamon in northwest Wisconsin, where she found peace and joy in the company of her loved ones.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Virginia Cranston, and is survived by her husband Brad, daughter Amanda, son Tyler, sisters Leslee and Margaret, brother in-law Alan, and her beloved nieces Jamie and Emily and nephew Hank.
A memorial service to celebrate Barb's life will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave S., Edina, Minnesota. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, followed by the service at noon and a reception immediately afterward.
Barb will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
