Barbara Lou Williams

Barbara Lou Williams, 83, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, September 16, 2025 in Alvarado, Texas.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Hawkins Funeral Home Decatur Chapel with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Gerre Joiner will officiate.

Barbara was born January 1, 1942 to Rueben A Winder and Mary Della Seigler in Stoneburg, Texas. She was united in marriage December 28, 1961 in Decatur to Kenneth Don Williams who has previously passed on to be with the Lord. Barbara attended some college and worked as a Medicare Specialist. She also attended the First Baptist Church. Barbara loved the color purple and Elvis Presley. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rueben A Winder and Mary Della Seigler, and her husband, Kenneth Don Williams.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Danny Williams and wife Amelia of Grand Prairie, and Mickey Williams and wife Sharon of Fort Worth, 8 grandchildren, Albert, Michelle, Danielle, Bianca, Sara, Drew, Eric, and Chad, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way, 1 great-great-grandchild, and 3 sisters, Pat, Norma, and Karen; extended family members and a host of friends.
