Roddy Dodson, 71, of Decatur passed away at his home August 26th, 2025.
Roddy was born January 19th, 1954 in Decatur, Texas to Kenneth Dwight and Geraldeane (Fuller) Dodson.
He graduated from Plano High School in 1973, then soon after moved to Decatur. Roddy dabbled in many things some would say he was a jack of all trades. There wasn’t much he couldn’t do, with a little direction. He owned and operated Dodson Plumbing for many years. Roddy’s last venture was Bee Keeping, Honeyhill, he made many jars of honey and was known to give more than sell.
He had a good heart and would help anybody… Roddy enjoyed gardening and having a garden, he was a very good cook on the grill and in the kitchen. He loved fishing and hunting, most of all he loved to travel and see all the beauty in nature.
He was preceded in death by his mother Geraldeane Fuller and his father Dwight Dodson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Misty Loggins and husband Jason; his son, Ryan Dodson; his grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter, Lexi, Kamryn, Kade, Karson, and Kase; his sister, Deana Taylor and husband Chock; his brother, Ken Dodson and wife Cindy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
