Barbara Witt, 70, of Lake City, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and compassion touched everyone she met. She is survived by her loving husband, Danny Witt; her children, Stacey Regar and Jason Regar; her brother Michael (Susan) Ballard; and her sister Peggy (Wes) Kent, along with numerous cherished grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister Sharon Kay Ballard, and her parents, Henry and Minnie Ballard. A dedicated nurse for most of her adult life, Barbara found her calling in caring for others. Her heart was equally devoted to animals as an advocate and lifelong animal lover. A proud and passionate Florida Gator fan, Barbara brought joy and laughter wherever she went. She never tired of giving — whether it was her time, her care, or her love — to anyone in need. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family and friends. A celebration of Barbara’s life will be announced at a later date. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Haven Hospice for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time. Those who knew Barbara will forever remember her warmth, generosity, and the light she brought into their lives.
