Barry L. Coon, 65, passed away on December 15, 2025. He was born on October 8, 1960, in Anthony, Kansas, the son of Lloyd and Dorothy (Johnson) Coon.

Barry was a 1979 graduate of Hutchinson High School and earned his degree from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas, in 1993. In 1994, he moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where he began a long career with Globe Life Marketing. He served the company for 31 years, most recently as a Senior Programmer Analyst. While living in Kansas, he was a member of the Hutchinson Breakfast Lions Club.

On April 7, 1990, he married Jeanne Herrell, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Dorothy; his grandparents; and his older brother, Roy Coon.

Barry is survived by his wife, Jeanne Coon; his sons, Chris Coon and wife Amanda of Moore, OK, and Anthony Coon of the home. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Vernier and husband Tony of West Chester, OH, and Mary Coon of Hutchinson, KS; his uncle, Kenneth Coon, and cousin, Kirby Coon, both of Albuquerque, NM; nephews Michael Vernier and Tim Vernier; niece Amy Tripp; and three great-nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Moore Funeral and Cremation, 400 SE 19th St, Moore, OK 73160. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 22, 2025, also at Moore Funeral and Cremation.

Arrangements are under the thoughtful direction of Moore Funeral and Cremation.
