Barry S. Gradwohl

Barry S. Gradwohl 85, of Gloucester, Entered Eternal Rest on June 12, 2025.
Barry was born in Lynn, the son of the late Lucien & Eve Gradwohl. He received a B.S. from Northeastern University and later an M.B.A. from Babson College. He started his career in the US Air Force, as an instructor. He then worked in the food manufacturing business for many years. Capping off his career with over 20 years of spreading joy and friendship across the Greater Boston area as owner of Ice Cream Works.
He also served on the Gloucester Conservation Commission. Spent many years volunteering at various musical events across the US and Canada. He was especially loved at the Lunenberg Folk Harbour Festival.
He was the devoted husband of Ellen Gradwohl; beloved father of Joel Gradwohl, Joy & Michael Malone, and Liz Orange; adored Papa of Michael & Shelby Bull-Malone, Ashley Malone & Dylan Triacca, Matthew Malone, Lucas Gradwohl, and Elisa Joyce Gradwohl; and the dear brother of the late Bruce Gradwohl.
Services will be held at Temple Ahavat Achim 86 Middle Street, Gloucester, on Sunday June 15 at 11:00 AM. Condolence calls may be made at his late residence, on Sunday and Monday from 2-6 PM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Temple Ahavat Achim www.taagloucester.org.
