Beatrice Jane Carpenter

Beatrice Jane Carpenter, age 95 of Centerburg, died Friday, November 21, 2025, at Centerburg Pointe following a recent decline in health.
She was born on August 1, 1930, in New Straitsville, Ohio, to the late Thomas A. and Kathryn (Jones) McLaughlin.
Jane graduated from West High School in 1948 and worked for 30 years as a service representative with the telephone company until retiring
A woman of many interests, over the years she played euchre, bowled, played bingo, taught exercise classes, and square danced with her beloved husband, Robert. She also ran a restaurant for truck drivers and baked wonderful pies. She was very involved with the activities of her children during their school years, chaperoning school events and volunteering in the schools.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Robert H. (Debbie) Carpenter II of Galion, Dixie L. Stewart of Zanesville, Rosalie (James) Stremple of Parma Heights, Grandchildren: Peter Carpenter, Angela (Brian) Warren, Heather Kreager, Jennifer Benes, Heather (Dale) Bailey, Stephanie Stewart, Rene Barber and Jason Barber along with numerous great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Robert H. Carpenter in 2004, daughter, Georgia L. Magill in 1995, brother David McLaughlin, and sister Kathryn Harper.
Friends may call on the family Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel, 637 St. Rt. 61 at St. Rt. 3, Sunbury, Ohio 43074, where services will begin at 1:00 p.m., and burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
Following the committal service at the cemetery, the family has extended an invitation to join them for a celebration of life at the AMVETS Post 59, 3894 Columbus Road, Centerburg, Ohio 43011.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions in Jane's name be made to the Central Ohio Joint Fire District, 5138 Columbus Road, Centerburg, Ohio 43011.
