Beatrice S. Richardson, 91, of Suffield, CT (Originally from Enfield), entered into eternal peace Wednesday Dec. 21 2022 at Kimberly Hall North in Windsor, CT. Born In Portland ME. August 6th 1931, Beatrice was the daughter of Leon and Freda (Grant) Strout. She grew up in a large family of 16 siblings. After her marriage to Robert H. Richardson in July of 1953 they moved to CT where they settled in Enfield. They were married 58 years before Roberts passing in 2011.
Bea worked at G.Fox for a number of years, she loved to read, play bingo with her friends at Park Place apartments, and play a fierce game of scrabble with Pam Babut. She also loved grocery shopping with Stef Belding on Saturdays and her weekly hair appointment on Thursdays with Wendy Follo, followed by running errands with her dear friend, Anne Di Maria-Haines.
She is survived by her children, Julie Houle and her husband John of Agawam, MA., Christine Richardson of Lancaster, SC., Barbara Greski and her husband Leonard of Summerville, SC., Thomas Richardson and his wife Cheryl of Waverly, VA.
She also leaves her loving grandchildren, Luke Somers, Marissa Stauffer, Laith Los, Jesse and Elias Greski, Michael Emerson, Jr., and Christopher Richardson; her great grandchildren, Lara and Ian Somers, Ryder, Libby and Tucker Emerson, Nathaniel and Remi Stauffer and Natalie Greski, and great great grandchildren, Jordyn and Avery Corbisiero. Bea's family would like to thank the staff at Kimberly Hall North for their wonderful care, the staff at Companions and Homemakers of Enfield, and especially Sue Comen for her friendship and dedicated care of Bea. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 4th at the Hazardville Cemetery in Enfield. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to the American Cancer Society in memory of Bea.
