Bedford Forrest Logan, 85, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the Oxford Veterans’ Home. Born in Hamilton on September 9, 1940, William Nathan Logan, Sr. and Vera Lee Willis Logan. He was a 1958 graduate of Hamilton High School and a graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in business administration. A lifelong resident of Monroe and Lowndes counties, in his early years, he was general manager of Ulis Miller Oil Company in Aberdeen and later worked for United Cement in Artesia. Dutifully, he served in the Army National Guard retiring after 20 years and he was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. An avid Ole Miss fan, he was also a marathon runner, and he enjoyed playing golf.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Lebanon Cemetery in Aberdeen.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Scroggins Logan of Columbus; one daughter, Cherie of High Point, NC; two sons, Terry of Hamilton, and Billy of Asheville, NC; three sisters, Bonnie, Barbara, and Ann of Hamilton; one brother, William Nathan Logan, Jr., Hamilton; 11 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John; sister, Doris Jean Logan; and brother, Rex Logan.
Visitation will be from 1 until 1:45 on Saturday at the funeral home.
