Benjamin Conrad Decorah

Benjamin Conrad Decorah, 74, of Black River Falls, WI, started his final journey Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Gundersen Medical Center in La Crosse, WI. Benjamin was born October 29, 1948, to Robert Elmer and Mae (Red Eagle) Decorah.
He was an avid musician who played the guitar, bass guitar, steel guitar and drums. He was proud of his collection of musical instruments and enjoyed showing them off to friends and family. He enjoyed beading and selling his work at the powwows. He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed quotes from movies, listening to country music, and reading the funnies from the newspaper. He was a man with great class who loved to dress to impress.
Benjamin is survived by his sister, Cheri Ann Snake of Black River Falls; two nieces, Shannon Renee Decorah of Tacoma, WA, and Veronica Allyn Watson (Robert Lee Watson III) of Oswego, IL; one nephew, Benjamin Aller Hudson (Laura Hall) of Black River Falls; five great-nephews, Hasani Dante Hart, Savion, Robert Lee Watson IV, Malcom Watson, and Julius Watson; longtime friend Bonnie Anderson of Black River Falls and her daughter, Jeanne Solie, along with her children (who he considered his own daughter and grandchildren) Blake and Ethan Solie and Allana Anderson and great granddaughter, Sage Solie.
Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Bernadine (Decorah) Miller, Bernard "Tom" Decorah.
