Sauls Funeral Home of RidgelandReverend Benjamin Donald Jenkins, age 59 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at his home in Kennesaw, GA. He was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, dear friend to many, but above these, he was a faithful servant for the Lord.
Benny was born in Ridgeland. SC and lived a life filled with love, faith and family. He was known for his generosity, strong worth ethic and dedication to the gospel and his church family.
Benny worked for the Georgia Dept of Transportation for several years before starting his own tree removal business. He was committed to being fair to the underserved and elderly. Because of his humble nature, most of his business was from referrals and repeat customers.
In his free time, he enjoyed anything outdoors, yard work and fishing were his favorite activities. He never met a stranger and could talk to anyone, anywhere for a long time! Benny will be dearly missed by his wife Cheryl, children Kosima, Benjamin and Jared; his parents Betty Ann and Hallbrook, grandchildren, extended family and friends. He touched the lives of many and will be remembered fondly for his kindness, loving spirit, and larger than life demeanor.
The funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Reverend Benjamin Jenkins will be held at Mt. Carmel Baptist Center at 3763 Bees Creek Rd. Ridgeland, SC on Saturday, August 30th at 10:00am. He will be laid to rest in Roseland Cemetery.
A memorial service is planned for a future date in Georgia for all of Reverend Jenkins' friends and church family that are unable to travel.
