Benjamin L. Pisano, 61, passed away peacefully at his home in
Scottsdale, Arizona on December 2, 2025. Ben was born on May 7, 1964 in Massachusetts. Ben had a deep relationship with God. He was a peaceful and gentle man who made others feel respected, supported and valued.
Ben grew up in the town of Winthrop, Massachusetts and graduated from Winthrop High School where he was on the track team, accomplishing a record in the Cross Country Hurdles. He attended the Travel School of America and later Scottsdale Community College. In the early years, Ben worked for Avis Rent-A-Car, the State of Massachusetts and for Lifelock. Ben's love of woodworking began with his father and was later the inspiration for Ben starting Southwest Door Refinishing, LLC, a successful company which has served many Arizona clients. In his journey through life, Ben made friends who he kept in touch with right up until the days prior to his passing.
From a young age, Ben loved music. He knew details of bands, albums, songs and musicians of many genres. He created playlists for his family and friends. Ben also enjoyed history, astronomy, geology, sports, archeology and coin collecting. He was a proud Boston Bruins and Red Sox fan, often recalling Bobby Orr's winning goal for the 1974 Stanley Cup win, both Red Sox World Series wins and Formula One victories. Ben's love of travel was instilled by early family trips to Maine, Cape Cod and Washington DC. He later visited England, France and Italy, among other places. Ben found great joy in nature, whether hiking, biking or off-roading. Breakheart Reservation in Saugus, Massachusetts, the Superstition Mountains and the Gateway Trailhead at the Scottsdale McDowell Sonoran Preserve in Arizona were favorite areas. With the advent of online maps, Ben enjoyed "dropping in" to places all over the world in a single evening. Perhaps Ben's greatest joy was found with animals, specifically cats and kittens. He had cats most of his life and was a supporter of animal causes.
Ben was predeceased his parents, Benjamin L. Pisano and Libera M. Guerra (Pisano), but spoke of the love, values, wisdom, courage, grace and fortitude instilled by them, which he felt carried him throughout his life. Ben was also predeceased by his Godfather, Matthew DiCharia, with whom he had a special relationship. Ben is survived by his sister, Nina Cimini (brother-in-law, Chris Cimini), his sister, Patrice Robertie (brother-in-law, Bill Robertie), as well as cousins in Massachusetts and Florida.
Ben will be remembered for his gentle manner, the love he gave and the memories he leaves behind. Goodbye to our brother and friend – until we meet again.
