Lansing, MI
On January 18, 2025, the world bid farewell to a loving and generous soul, Benjamin "Benny" Lee Strauss at the age of 36. Born on December 4, 1988, in Lansing, Michigan, Benjamin had a vibrant spirit that shone brightly throughout his life. A sports fanatic, Ben excelled at soccer but also enjoyed playing football and wrestling. His faith was an important part of his life and he enjoyed attending Trinity Church in Lansing, finding solace and strength in his faith. In the words of scripture, "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1). This verse being a source of comfort during his struggles and now a testament to his resilience. Ben's life was a beautiful blend of family, faith, and joy in helping others. He was loved dearly and will be missed greatly. Preceding him in death were his father, Kevin Cummins; brothers, Frankie Rodriguez and Steven Strauss.
Benjamin's most cherished treasures were his family and children. Surviving are his parents, Linda and Vicky Strauss; wife, Lanette Strauss; children, Camron Fraser, Hunter Strauss, Natalia Strauss, Cody Strauss, Connor Schultz; his siblings, Richard Strauss, Crystal (Jonathan) Schultz, Robert Strauss as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel. Family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service.
