Benjamin Scott Yeaman, affectionately known as "Ben" to his friends and family, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 09, 2024. Ben was born on April 06, 1992, in Richmond, Virginia to Peggy Lee Hopkins and Kenneth (Chip) Yeaman Jr. He left behind his stepfather Bradley Briggs and his older brother Kenneth (Bryant) Yeaman. Ben was an avid sports fan. Growing up he was involved in baseball, football, and wrestling. He was a Hermitage Panther through and through. His love of sports included the Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Lakers, Ohio State Football, and the Detroit Red Wings. We know he will always be chopping on from heaven.
There are not enough words to describe what an amazing father he was to his daughter, Savannah (4) and son, Hudson (1). Savannah will remember her daddy as her best friend, the one who gave the best cuddles, and was the best at pushing her on the swing. Ben's legacy will live on through them.
Ben is not only survived by his children, but also by his loving wife, Emily, of almost 6 beautiful years. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his kind heart, superior sense of humor, and willingness to always help others. Emily rests easy knowing that he is in Heaven with his Nana, Carol Turner Yeaman who he has missed for the last 10 years.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Vincent Funeral Home, Providence Forge Chapel between 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 9:30 am at Vincent Funeral Home, Providence Forge Chapel. Interment to follow at Washington Memorial Park.
Emily would like to thank Ben's friends who have graciously agreed to serve as pallbearers: Zach Towner, Spencer Shumate, MJ Roberson, Scott Thurston, David Reid, Eric Johnson, Scott Bordner, and Skylar Evers. Ben had the best support system one could imagine.
Ben will forever be missed but never forgotten.
