Bernadette (Rhode) Senerth, 93, of Glastonbury, wife of the late Kenneth Senerth, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024. She was born on February 23, 1931 to the late Francis and Anna (Byrnes) Rhode in Hartford, Connecticut. She was an avid sports fan, especially for the Hartford Whalers but later had an affinity for the Boston Celtics. Bernadette loved playing cards and was affectionately known by the ones who played with her as a card shark who knew everyone's next move. Bernadette was someone who found the most joy in the small moments of life. Something as simple as taking a walk through the neighborhood, feeding leftovers to the backyard hawks, or just calling her sons to talk about the Celtics score would make her day. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, whether it was antiquing with Ken, having family gatherings, or just spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Bernadette leaves behind her son Joseph Senerth and his wife Pamela, and her daughter Mary Keegan and her husband Mark. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Emily, Mark, Amy, Julia, Jeffrey, Jim, Olivia, and Ian as well as her great-grandchildren, Noah, Brantley, Francis, Maeve, Kenneth, Nora, and Elizabeth. Bernadette was predeceased by her sons, Kenneth Senerth, Mark Senerth and Frank Senerth and by her brother Francis Rhode.
Friends and family may call on Bernadette's family on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave. Glastonbury. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Bernadette's life will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 10:00am. All attendees are asked to go directly to church. Burial to follow in Green Cemetery, 99 Hubbard Street, Glastonbury. For further information, or to leave a condolence, please visit FarleySullivan.com
