It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Vignati Senerth, affectionately
known as "Sue," of West Hartford, CT. After a courageous five-year battle with pancreatic
cancer, Sue peacefully entered eternal rest.
Born on September 28, 1954, Sue was the daughter of the late Judge Francis C. Vignati and
Elizabeth Vignati. She graduated from East Hartford High School and attended Mitchell College
earning her degree as a Registered Nurse. In 1994, Sue transitioned from nurse to President and
co-owner of Quality Tool & Equipment Corporation.
Sue took pride in her home, always tending to her yard with beautiful flowers and trees, and
enjoyed taking long walks with her dog, Lucy, around her neighborhood. She looked forward to
every 6 a.m. spin class at Tribe, peloton rides, costco trips, baking, and happy hours by her pool.
Sue's thoughtfulness extended to others in many ways, including creating special gifts and
countless hours of knitting for those she loved. As one of five, she cherished every gathering
with friends and family, especially the holidays with her brothers, their spouses, and children.
However, some of her fondest memories were the times she spent with her beloved cousin, Margaret,
who always managed to bring a smile to her face– even on her darkest days.
Above all, Sue's heart overflowed with love for her four children, whom she supported tirelessly,
and loved unconditionally. Sue attended every swim meet, tennis match, marathon, iron man, and
soccer game she could. She dedicated years serving as the president of Charter Oak Swim Club,
and even took up golfing, a sport her family loved, simply to share in their enthusiasm. Sue's
devotion extended to her children's spouses, Katherine, and Marcela, who became cherished
members of the family, and her love knew no bounds when it came to her grandchildren,
Elizabeth and Nora, whom she adored beyond measure.
Sue is survived by her four children, Mark Senerth, his wife, Katherine and their daughter Nora;
Amy Senerth; Jeffrey Senerth, his wife Marcela and their daughter Elizabeth; and James
Senerth. Her brothers, Francis C. Vignati, Jr., and his wife Janis, Peter Vignati and his wife,
Susanne, Dr. Paul Vignati and his wife Susan. Her sisters-in-law, Beth Vignati, Colleen Vignati,
Diane Senerth, Julie Senerth, Mary Senerth, and her mother in law, Bernadette (Rohde) Senerth.
Her cousin, Margaret Sanzaro and her husband, Louis, and her Aunt Janella Vignati, as well as
many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her mother and father, she is predeceased by
Mark Senerth, and her brother, Dr. John Vignati.
Calling hours will be at Molloy Funeral Home in West Hartford, Connecticut on Thursday,
March 21, 2024, from 5 p.m.- 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Peter Claver Church in
