Bertha M. Lewis

Bertha M. Lyons Lewis, age 95, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at LECOM at Presque Isle. She was born February 17, 1926, a daughter of the late Clive and Ruth Lyons. She was a 1943 graduate of Millcreek High School. Bertha was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church since 1963.

Bertha is preceded in death by her husband, Martin G. Lewis, two sisters, Bernadine Kaufmann, and Elise Lyons. She is further preceded by her daughter Rachel Lewis Peters, and her brothers in law, Sam Ferraro, Frank Kaufmann, and Arthur Lopez

Bertha is survived by her son, Martin Keith Lewis, three sisters, Thelma Lopez, Janet Kinney, and Sandra Ferraro. She is further survived by four granddaughters, Rebekah Caldwell, Sarah Peters Jablonski, Ruth Peters Northcutt and her husband, Joshua, and Melanie Peters.

Friends are invited to call on the family Friday, September 24, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church 1781 W 38th St, Erie, PA 16508, with Pastor Jerry Davis officiating. The family would request masks be worn for the funeral service.
