Beth Darlene Hunt, lovingly known to many as Darlene, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, in Forsyth County, North Carolina, at the age of 60. Born on June 27, 1964, in Surry County, North Carolina, Darlene lived a life full of love and compassion, deeply devoted to her family and friends.
Darlene was known for her warm heart and unwavering dedication to those she held dear. Though her professional life included work in the textile industry, it was her role as a caring individual that truly defined her character. Her greatest joy came from the time spent with her loved ones, and her generous spirit touched all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her cherished parents, Darrell Lee Thomas and Shirley Frances Waddell. Left to carry forward her memory are her beloved partner of over 20 years; her devoted children, Megan Fain and Justin Thomas; and her dear sisters, Sonya Meadows, Betty Bunn, and Sherry Matherly. Darlene is also survived by many other beloved family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Though no formal services have been announced at this time, a celebration of Darlene's life is expected to take place at the end of June. Her family invites all who knew her to join them in remembering the love and kindness she brought into the world.
Darlene's legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and she will always be remembered for the warmth and affection she shared with everyone fortunate enough to have known her. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Beth, please visit our floral store.
