Mrs. Betty Helen Woods Couch was born, November 18, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio. Betty Helen was the daughter of the late, McKinley Woods & the late, Maltie Bowling Woods. Betty Helen passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Betty Helen was 77 years old. Betty Helen had been a life long resident of Hyden, Kentucky with the exception of residing in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky for the past 8 years. By occupation Betty Helen was a Quality Assurance Director for Mary Breckinridge-ARH in Hyden, Kentucky. Betty Helen retired from this position with 42 years of service. Betty Helen was a devoted member of the Hyden Church of God in Hyden, Kentucky. She enjoyed flower gardening, singing, sitting on the porch in the sunshine & especially loved spending time with her cherished family.

Betty Helen was preceded in death by her beloved parents, McKinley & Maltie Bowling Woods, loving & devoted husband, whom she married June 1, 1964, Kermit Couch, one cherished son, Keith Ray Couch & brother, Bill Woods. She leaves the following relatives surviving; one cherished son, William Keven Couch & Peggy, Bonnyman, Kentucky, two cherished daughters, Mary Katherine "Kathy" Smith & Mark, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky & Kimberly Eldridge & Todd, Sharpsburg, Kentucky, one sister, Kathleen Kile, New Palestine, IN., treasured grandchildren, Megan Couch Pettus & Trent, Tessa Couch  Eldridge & Austin, Brittany Miller Walker & Henry, Kiana Couch Smith & Adam, Keisha Ray Couch Gibson & Jarrett, Cameron Smith & Abigail, Katelyn Smith Ruark & Austin, Cheyenne Couch, Becky Eldridge, Jordan Blevins & Kasey, Matthew Blevins & Victoria Eldridge, treasured great grandchildren, Conner Lee Walker, Grayson Klay Walker, Payton McKenzie Walker, Lucas Chase Walker, Lily Grace Eldridge, Jonah Easton Smith, Levi Hayes Smith & Bellamy Keith Ray Blevins & a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Services:

Funeral: Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 4:00 P.M. at the Hyden Church of God, Hyden, Kentucky

Minister: Pastor Wayne Bowling

Visitation:  Saturday - September 16, 2023 - at 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour at 4:00 p.m. at the Hyden Church of God

Interment: Couch Family Cemetery, (Bull Creek Road) Hyden, Kentucky

Pallbearers: Trent Pettus, Henry Walker, Austin Eldridge, Cameron Smith, Austin Ruark, Jordan Blevins, Jarrett Gibson, Matthew Blevins & Adam Smith
