Betty-Fay Orlow

Lunenburg: Betty-Fay (Chartrand) Orlow, 77, passed away on October 17, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Betty-Fay was born in Fitchburg on January 24, 1947, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Thompson) Chartrand and was raised in Lunenburg.
For many years Betty worked for NEBS in Groton as a customer service representative until her retirement.
She will be fondly remembered for her green-thumb and ability to maintain beautiful houseplants and outdoor gardens. Having a passion for dance, Betty was an accomplished ballroom dancer, who happily shared this pastime with her husband. After retiring, Betty and Walt enjoyed extensive traveling throughout the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean. No matter where her travels took her, Betty was always happiest spending time with her family; she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Walt Orlow of Lunenburg; three daughters, Kristina Caissie and her husband Daniel of Brooklyn, CT, Stephanie Orlow of Gardner, and Alicia Orlow and her partner Dwayne Flowers of Lunenburg; five grandchildren, Corey Caissie, Kaylin Caissie, Timothy Caissie, Maya Flowers, and Sophia Flowers; siblings, Elvin Chartrand of Athol, Eliot Chartrand and wife Corinne of South Hadley, Elroy Chartrand and wife Connie of Norridgewock, ME, Elton Chartrand and wife Sue of Scott, Arkansas, Linda Bricker and husband Dan of Ocean Shores, Washington, and Judith Karkane of Lunenburg; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty-Fay was predeceased by her son-in-law Robert Perry and her brother Erwin Chartrand.
Calling hours will be held in the Anderson Funeral Home, 250 Main St., Townsend on Tuesday, October 29, from 11:00am to 12:30pm. A service will begin at 12:30pm in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
