Betty Murphy Obituary

Born January 12, 1942 in Quaker City, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Lloyd William and Madge (Householder) Gray. She was a 1960 graduate of Quaker City High School. Betty retired from H&H Auto parts in Canton and also worked at Der Dutchman Restaurant in Bolivar. She was a member of the New Towne Cloggers. She was preceded in death by her husband Densle Murphy on March 11, 2011. Betty is survived by 2 daughters Sandra Murphy of Madison, Ohio and Kathryn (James) Haas of Navarre; 2 grandchildren Jim Haas of Navarre and Jessica (Larry ) Hershberger of Dundee; 7 great grandchildren Ashleigh, Leidy, Tara, Khloe, Emma, Isaiah, Noah Hershberger and 2 brothers Gary and Terry Gray.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a great granddaughter Abigail Joy Hershberger, 2 brothers Roy and Jim Gray and a special friend Joseph V. Gildea.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar. Pastor Bill Eckert will officiate and burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Salesville, Ohio. To share a memory, please visit the funeral home's web site.
