Graveside Funeral services for Betty Ann Ostteen Scroggs, age 76 of Columbia will be held on 10:00 AM, Monday, February 20, 2023, at the Cross Roads Cemetery at Grayson with Bro. Shane Duke officiating.
Betty Ann was born on December 6, 1946, at Columbia, LA to the union of her parents, the late V. H. Ostteen and Catherine Mullins Ostteen, and she passed from this life on Friday, February 17, 2023, at her residence in Columbia surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her son Lucas "Luke" Scroggs, and her husband M. B. "Buddy" Scroggs. Betty was a member of the Baptist Faith. She worked many years in Medical Bookkeeping at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Columbia .
Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her son W. Dewaine Brewer (Dana); her Bonus Sons: James Scroggs (Clivette), John Scroggs (Elaine), Max Scroggs (Cindy), Mike Scroggs (Tamara), and Eddie Scroggs (Sandy); her daughter, Jennifer A. Strickland; her Bonus Daughter, Wanda Stroud (Randy); her beloved grandchildren: Judson Strickland (Katelynn), Megan Rubio (Brian), Meredith Scroggs, Maci Scroggs, Doug Stroud (Karla), Derek Stroud (Becka), Leslie Haley, Chris Scroggs (Cyndi), Joe Scroggs (Angelica), Hannah Bird (T. J. ), Justin Scroggs, Heather Scroggs, Taylor May, Bailey Scroggs (Daulton), and twelve great-grandchildren, one being brand new and three more on the way.
Serving as pallbearers will be Max Scroggs, James Scroggs, Joe Scroggs, Chris Scroggs, Derek Stroud and Doug Stroud. Honorary pallbearers include Eddie Scroggs, Michael Scroggs and John Scroggs.
In lieu of flowers any planned memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Columbia or the Cross Roads Baptist Church at Grayson.
