Betty J. Zingsheim

Betty J. Zingsheim (Thorn), age 95 of Appleton, WI passed away May 5, 2022. She was born July 15, 1926 in Hartford, WI, daughter of the late Ben Sr. and Mae (Mueller) Thorn. She married Vernon A. Zingsheim on July 13, 1946. Betty and Vernon owned and operated Zingsheim Realty, a real estate firm in Neenah for 18 years. She was a former member of the Fox Valley Board of Realtors. Betty enjoyed golf, line dancing, good food, long walks, reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was also an avid Packers fan.
Betty is survived by her children, Nancy (Thomas) Krueger of Appleton, WI, Jane (Steve) Jones of Eagle River, WI, and Stephen (Teresia) Sinclair; her grandchildren, Gregory and Elizabeth Krueger, Spencer Graczyk, and Tyson, Crystal, Max, Penny, and Emmy Sinclair; her great-granddaughter, Norah Chau; and her brother, Ben Jr. (Marion) Thorn.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; her parents, Ben and Mae; an infant sister; and her two brothers, Robert and Frank Thorn.
A private celebration of life will be held for Betty at a later date. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. The family would like to thank the staff at the Appleton Retirement Community and Moments Hospice for the care and kindness they showed to Betty.
