Beulah May Maxwell, age 62 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, she was our momma, our life, and our glue.
She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 15, 1962 the daughter of the late Lander and Vina (Davis) Maxwell. Her most important calling on this earth was to be a mother and grandmother. She was a mother hen to everyone she met.
In death she was met by many loved ones; her life companion and father of her children, Henry “Hank” Stephens; her parents Lander and Vina Maxwell; and siblings, Jerry Maxwell, Katherine Maxwell, Dillard Maxwell, Jo Ann Lyons, Della Duncan, and infant sister, Nancy.
To forever honor and cherish her memory she leaves behind her 2 daughters, Sandra Maxwell and Abbie (Brandon) Strunk; a very special son, Chuck, who were her pride and joy; her 2 bonus children whom she claimed as her own, Julie Lyons and Kenny Stephens; her 11 grandchildren, Kylie, Kristy, Bella, Raiden, Willow, Jaxon, Korbyn, Ember, Naomi, Laklyn, Anslee, plus the 3 grandchildren, she chose to love like her own, Courtney Catron, Kaitlynn Elmore, and Whitney Slavey.
She also has 3 surviving siblings, Lander Maxwell of Ohio and Rubie Maxwell of Tennessee, and a baby brother, Virgil Maxwell who she had dedicated the last few years of her life trying to find without any luck and a host of nieces and nephews.
Not only does she leave behind this family that was given by birth, but also the family she chose for herself, her Bingo Family. There are to many of you all to list, but know that she loved and cherished every minute and memory made with all of you and the family is forever grateful for all of you.
In death comes much sorrow for those of us she has left behind, but to know she has won her race with this illness is a blessing. While she may not walk amongst us in body anymore, she will forever live on in our hearts and souls.
