Beverly R. Lombardo

Beverly Rose Lombardo, a beacon of love and laughter, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024, at the age of 78 in Naperville, Illinois. Born on September 23, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois, Beverly's life was a tapestry of joy, generosity, and unwavering commitment to her family.
Beverly's journey through life was shared with her devoted husband, Frank Lombardo. Together, they created a home filled with warmth and kindness. She was the beloved mother of Sean (Mary Ellen) Oczki and a cherished stepmother to Gina MacArthur, Michelle Nyquist, and Tammy (Kyle) Kruszewski. Her role as a grandmother to Graham and Ethan Oczki and step grandmother to Matthew and Kelly MacArthur, and Amelia Kruszewski was one of her greatest joys, as she bestowed upon them the same love and care that she gave to all who were lucky enough to cross her path.
She is survived by her loving sister, Lynda Pratscher, and was a fond sister to the late Bob and Kevin Pratscher. Beverly was also a dear aunt to Joseph (Mary) Shmigelsky and Nick (Nina) Pratscher, whose lives were enriched by her presence.
Beverly's interests and passions were a reflection of her vibrant spirit. She was an avid traveler, a dedicated volunteer at the Children's Garden at the Morton Arboretum, and a yoga enthusiast. Her love for jewelry was matched by her generosity, as she often donated to the Treasure House in Wheaton. Beverly found joy in simple pleasures like savoring black coffee, basking in the sunlight, and most importantly, being with her family. Proud of her Irish heritage, she was a pioneering woman in business, earning the respect of her colleagues through her hard work and dedication.
Described by those who knew her as loving, funny, and generous, Beverly's legacy will continue to shine in the hearts of her family and friends. Her laughter and love will be deeply missed, but the memories she created will be cherished forever.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday, July 12th, from 2:00 pm until time of service at 4:00 pm at Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Dairen. Interment private.
