Beverly Ann Meschede

Beverly Ann Meschede, 73, went home to her heavenly father on Wednesday January 17, 2024.
Beverly was born November 20, 1950, to her parents John and Norma Meschede of Louisville. She was an active and longtime member of St. Paul Catholic Church where she had been an instructor in the Religious Education Program and served as a lector. She was also a member of the Secular Franciscan Fraternity. She had also been a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
Beverly graduated magna cum laude from Bellarmine University. She was a member of the English-Speaking Union and was awarded a scholarship to Edinburgh University in Scotland for the summer after graduation. She had been an Honorable Kentucky Colonel.
Beverly held several positions throughout her life but found her place with the Social Security Administration. She retired after over 30 years of service, most of it as a claim representative.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Deborah Carol. Even though she had no children of her own, she did lose her border collie Stella, who was her companion for many years.
She is survived by a brother Steve (Dorothy), and sisters Linda Jordan (Billy) and Lisa Carrico (Jim); nephews Jacob Jordan (Terri) and Kenny Carrico; niece Katie Dotson (Josh); a great nephew Noah Jordan and a great niece Avery Jordan; uncles, aunts, and many cousins.
Funeral mass will be Tuesday January 23, 2024, at 11:00am St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Highway with burial to follow Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday January 22, 2024, from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to American Cancer Society, Crusade for Children, or a charity of the donor's choice.
