Beverly A. Metzger, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Beech Grove, Indiana, to Harold and Virgie Bell, Beverly was the oldest of six children. Her lively upbringing shaped her generous spirit, love of family gatherings, and her ability to make everyone feel at home.
She cherished time at the beach, especially Sanibel Island, and was known for her bold style-no outfit was complete without jewelry, a purse, and lipstick. Family was her greatest joy, and she wore the title "Grandma" with pride.
Beverly is survived by her children, Richard Hale II and Tamara Hale-Wahl; stepdaughters, Karen Whistler, Kathy Utley, and Rhonda Metzger; grandchildren, Oliver (Will) Hale, Grace Hale, and Emma Hale; step-grandchildren, Lindsay Reinholt, Lauren Trosky, Michael Whistler, MacKenzie Utley, Emma Utley, Haley Kroger, Alek Utley, and Nathan Boscher; siblings, Avery Bell, Sandra Jenkins, Harold Bell, Bill Bell, and Russell Bell; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Richard Hale, Ronald Metzger, and Donald Boscher; and her stepson, David Boscher.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 26, 2025, from 6–8 p.m. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel 481 W. Main St. Greenwood, IN, followed by a Celebration of Life at 8 p.m.
Burial at Acton, IN Cemetery at a later date.
