Stephen Michael Sciscoe II, known affectionately as Mike to his friends and family, passed away September 26, 2025. Born on August 7, 1968, in Beech Grove, Indiana.
Mike's story is one of passion. His career in telecommunications gave him access to one of the things he enjoyed most, as it allowed him to help people in times of greatest need. His work took him to many corners of the globe, especially during natural disasters, where he demonstrated his unwavering commitment to restoring the vital lines of communication that bring us all together. This was a testament to his belief in the power of human connectivity and the importance of helping others.
Mike harbored a deep-seated love for music, animals and any sort of racing. Mike used music as an outlet, teaching himself guitar at a young age, and singing any song stuck in his head for the world to hear. However, racing was his true passion. It may have not been just the racing, but the community he found within it, and the connection it allowed him with his son. Mike spent a lot of his years traveling the states in the name of racing. This led him to his latest adventure, being an announcer at these races. Mike truly made his presence known, which made him the perfect man for the job.
Even with his vast array of interests and passions, nothing was closer to Mike's heart than his family. He leaves behind his two children, Benjamin and Kasey Sciscoe, mother, Julia Lynn (Ronald) Flower, stepmother, Susie Sciscoe, his brother, Ronald Flower, and his sisters, Tracy McKee and Kasi Woodall, who were a significant part of his journey. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Michael Sciscoe I.
Memorial visitation will be Tuesday, October 7th from 12:30pm to 2:30pm at Wilson St Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel 481 W. main Street. Life celebration will start at 2:30pm at the funeral home.

I know you are finally at peace with your lord and savior. He was waiting for you with open arms. Thanks for all the help getting my pool ready last summer. Wish we would have had that steak dinner and swim. Another time in a much better place. RIH my friend
