William (Bill) Van Regenmorter was born on January 5, 1927, in Sioux Center, IA, the son of Peter and Carrie (Bos) Van Regenmorter. He attended Sunny Hill #7 Country School through the 8th grade.
On August 3, 1951, he was united in marriage to Aldine Achterhoff in the Rock Valley Christian Reformed Church. Bill and Aldine shared 69 years of marriage. They raised their family of five children on the family farm northwest of Sioux Center. Bill farmed the land, raised livestock, and taught his children the ethic of hard work. Bill and Aldine moved from the family farm to town in 1986. Bill was a lifelong member of the First Reformed Church (now known as Centerpoint Church) in Sioux Center. He served as an Elder and Deacon. He will be remembered for his solid faith, strong Christian values, and Love for Jesus Christ.
Bill and Aldine enjoyed many years wintering at their home in Mesa, AZ. Bill carried a big smile and a hearty laugh. He loved sharing stories of his mischievous adolescent days. He was always ready for shenanigans and young at heart all through his life.
Attending the Iowa State Fair for 65 plus years together with his beloved wife was a highlight for Bill. He loved sharing his enthusiasm, inviting his children and grandchildren through the years to share his love for the Fair events.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter-in-law and four children, Linda Van Regenmorter of Bradenton, FL, Jan (Lloyd) Dau of Calumet, IA, Loren (Arda) Van Regenmorter, Verlyn (Lea Ann) Van Regenmorter, and Darla (Bob) Koopmans all of Sioux Center, IA; sixteen grandchildren, and twenty-four greatgrandchildren; three sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Phyllis Van Regenmorter, Wilma Brantsen, and Bertha (Peter) Mol; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Aldine Van Regenmorter; son, Wayne Van Regenmorter; parents, Peter, and Carrie Van Regenmorter; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Jake (Carrie) Van Regenmorter, Henry (Cynthia) Van Regenmorter, Dick (Pearl) Van Regenmorter, and Richard Van Regenmorter; and one sister and brother-in-law, Wynn (Ben) Vonk.
